The Evils of travel

Well I'm more sane about my trip (not absolutly sane I'll never be that).

Started off with a nice round of mini golf with Nik, Kate, and Damian.
Got to watch Damian chip shots from across a couple holes to get to the one we were on (he dangerously good at this).
And even though I sucked terribly it was still a good old time with fun company.

Then after watching Nik sneak liqour into his drinks at Perkins I headed out on the second leg of the journey.

I went down to Mad Town picked up Ratchel (who got me really nummy b-day sushi!) and went to the Dells to see her boy Jason (I call him her boy only to show that they are romanticly together not to show that she has possession of him [Truth be told I don't think either one knows whom is controlling what in that relationship and I think it's good for em}) working at the Ed Bryant (I think I'm not sure of the name I was a little drunk at the time) Boy Scout Camp.
And even though he was sporting a really really goofy stash (goofier than Damians Tom Sellic), I'm assured he did it for a good and funny reason (still not sure if Rachel has forgiven him [but I'm sure she will]) it was hard not to get along with him. He's a good and funny guy.
You've finally found a stable good one Rachel! Good job. Now bring him around to be frightened by the rest of the crew. I'm pretty sure his sanity will come through intact, possibly.
In fact the only thing weird about that night was falling asleep drunk in a boy scout camp and wanting to make Wet Hot American Summer refrences all the next morning. (and just so you know, Yes I did have my twenty-sided-die on hand just in case).

After that I tried to get to Indiana in a decent amount of time (I had 7 hours) and managed to make it in 9. Stupid Chicago traffic. So I didn't get to see my friend from Middle School (Sorry Cody) but instead on the way out to my Sister's place I picked up an artist that was out of gas and gave him a ride to the gas station. We got to talking about where each of us were going at this time of night that we were both artists. So upon returning he gave me a really awesome piece of work that I'll have to get a pic of.
When he handed me the piece he told me:
"The name of the piece is 'Destination'. The grid work represents the streets of a city. And when the sun shines on it the sparkles look like a cityscape at night. I want you to have it, cuase I don't usually meet such cool people on the road."

I was floored.
In fact that once act of kindness on his part kept me up the 6 hour drive to my sister's place. (yup. in case any of you were counting that's 15 hours of straight driving, not including the couple of hours I drove back to and in Mad Town.)

So when I got there about noon the next day I was tired and dirty and stinky and really needed to get inebrated.
And like a true loving sister that's what she provided me. We were up for about 9 hours just talking and getting wasted and having fun. I was allowed to get cleaned and changed and it was a good day.
I spent the next few days there just hanging out and having fun. It was a really fun time.
I miss my sister and her/my Scotty-bear an aweful lot. I wish I could come stay more often.

And on that friday I baked my self to being over done in Chicago. I couldn't stop and get something to eat for fear of running out of gas (cause I'm an idiot [not the last time I'll be saying that here] and lost $100 that morning at a gas station.)
And so in 100 degree temp I'm driving in stop and go traffic with no AC and while half of my body gets royally baked to a nice frightening red.

Thankfully enough when I got back to EC the shower was open at the Hizzouse and drink was available to me at the Jackson's going away bash (lucky bastards have fun in Europe!).

And the next day is where I'm a true and complete idiot. Yay!
I don't have the right frame of mind to put that down yet so I'll come back to it later.

Besides this is getting long enough as it is.

to be continued...
