Let the Geek shine through

Finally, finall, FINALLY, we will be able to watch the Original Trilogy on DVD.

Which for me is almost a dream come true.
I wasn't always a die hard OT fan. I could accept that Had didn't shoot first (even though it was insanely improbable that Greedo could miss at that range). And the rest of the first run through edits didn't bother me that much. But when Lucas went back and made it seem like vader was just a pupet with the Emperor's hand up his ass, it went too far.

But now I will again be able to see Han as a completely lost soul that sees in the rebelion a path to redemption.

Now I will be able to see Vader trying to etch his own name into the galaxy, leaving the Emperor behind.

Now I will be able to watch the movies that I grew up with on DVD instead of wearing out my VHS collection.

Finally George Lucas has proven himself to be not a complete and total fuckwad. Although I'm sure the price tag on these gems will make me think otherwise.

But for now I get to bask in the glow of Awesome models, cheezy special effects, and a whiny farm boy saving the Galaxy.

It gives me A New Hope. An Empire that Strikes Back. And a Return of those rascaly Jedi.
