Intersting videos

Been going through the experimental drama films on Atomfilms.com just to waste some time.

Some really neat ones.
Actually I think I might make this a regular thing.
Post like one a week or one a post or something.

Meh I'll probably forget about it. But I'm going to drop a list here of the neat ones I've run across today and put some thoughts on em.

Between You and Me
I really like this one. It was made with a series of photographs from a digital camera. The only thing I didn't like is that for sound they had the shutter of a camera. I actually wish they would have put some music to it.
Other than that it's really keen.

End of Summer
A fatalistic French film (silly French). But this is done with computer animation (yay). On this one I love the backgrounds and props, the sky and the movement of the character. however I hate the skin and clothing of the character. Especially the way it interacts with the rain and the water.
Overall I really like how this shows off a completely computer generated world.

Me
Girl takes a photo of herself everyday for 3 years. Shows how much we age in just three years. Wonderfully done and the music on it makes it awesome.

There's another one that Angela linked:

Noah takes a picture of himself everyday for 6 years.
and actually I like this one better than Me. This one shows not only how he ages, but also give a glimpse at how his life has changed through the backgrounds. It's a little hard to watch at times because of the backgrounds jumping around, but I still love the concept.

The Train
An intersting little piece on the "destiny" as they call it.
To me it shows the "mind's eye" view of emotions.
Nothing really all that experimental about the piece, however it still does contain some shots of my favorite way shafts of light filter through the clouds.

Anywho I think I will try and make this a weekly thing. I love these kinds of things. I'll see if I can even find some of the older ones that I truely have enjoyed in the past.

Back to work, damnit. That room's not going to build it's self.
