So I'm not sure how interesting the Solstices are supposed to be, but I think mine might count in the catagory of at least noteworthy.

And as such I shall engratiate you with the tale.

It started off rather normal. I went down to the bar at happy hour (mostly because beer is much cheaper and durring the week no one is there so it's nice and quiet [making it a good place to read]). (Just a side note that happy hour here is from somewhere around 11:30 - 1:30 or they just like to give me beer at half price).

Anyway I drank my couple of beers and had and was provided one on the house by the nice cute bartender (female in case anyone was wondering). That made coming out a nice occasion in it's self.

I was close to finishing my book and decided that I'd switch to coffee to finish up (and to get that coffee I have to drive about 30 miles to find a dinner that's open). So I get to the dinner and sit and start to read my book when bar close happened. On a Wednesday you wouldn't think it'd be all that many people, but you'd be surprised. That's when I met "The Writer" and we chatted while regulars filtered in and out (I think I'm almost close to 'regular' status now by the way) and got my coffee paid for.

It was all good. At threeish I decided to head home, said my goodbyes and headed on the road home and totally forgot that I needed to gas up.

And so three miles out from the nearest gas station (that was closed) I ran out of gas. And I walked. And then waited for the gas sation to open up. And then walked.

And now I've just got home and I still haven't finished my book.

Yup. It's been an interesting day. There's more to the tale (not much just small details that I found interesting on the walk back, but I'm tired and I have to run to the bank so I can use my check card again (this requires me to drive a hundred miles).

Things get interesting out here.

(by the by I know my spelling is terrible. I like it terrible. It makes the spell check work. I don't use it, but it's nice to know that if I really wanted to I could give it a nice workout =)
