I just slept for a good 20 hours following my first couple of days back at school. I'd written a really really really long rant durring class on wed just to kill some time, but the computer ate it. Oh well it was just a collection of rather random thoughts.
School seems to be taking an interesting turn. First I heard from Jelena (my typography) teacher that the head of my program has been mentioning my name around the teachers with respect added to it. Which would be neato if I were anyone but me. See I'm of the attitude that if I fly below the radar then anything kinda neat that I do will get flagged down, so that way I don't have to make everything awesome to the max.
But with people on the look out for me in their classes expecting me to be top notch in everything I do...well it's cause for some not so small worrying. I know it's supposed to be a compliment since I'm still a first year, but I'm a paranoid lunatic. I just don't want to burn out, or dissapoint. I hate disapointment worse than I hate burning out. Like I said I'm crazy.
And second I've lost all my skill at 3D studio max. I'm a newbie again thrown in with a few elites. I look foolish when compaired to them. It's just not helping the situation any. Oh well I'll muddle through. I always due. Well I guess that's not really true. Usually I just hide under the covers and stay asleep long enough for the problem to become moot anyway. But not this time damnit.
So to get my mind off of the situation I watched all four seasons of Reboot. It's a pretty cool show that (thankfully) got better as it aged. Until it got good enough for the networks to cancel it.
I'm very happy with the show, but now I'm going to feel bad every time I win a computer game. Those poor sprites I just killed and I am furthering my system destablization. Sigh, I just can't seem to do anything right. Oh well.
Hexidecimal was my favorite character. Chaotic, powerful, insane, unrequited love, and an awesome death with a final gift. Can't ask for much more than that. I'm glad the show lost it's focus on Bob. he was really starting to annoy me. But anyway...
Long live the Crimson Binome! And long sail the Saucy Mare!
[As a last side note I'm having trouble coming up with a name for the comic. All I've got so far is Aviators. But I'm not sure if it's still available or if it's too widly used. The more I think of it I don't like the name. Oh well back to the drawing board. ]
Stay Frosty
